OCI Image Overview

The Open Container Initiative (OCI) is an open governance structure for the express purpose of creating open industry standards around container formats and runtimes.

Users can deploy a VM using a compatible image from a private or public registry, as well as store those images in a user registry.

Known Limitations

M4 machines only support OS X 13.4 or higher.

Workaround: If a user has M4 Mac computers in the Orka Cluster and wants to run an OS that is earlier than version 13.4, then MacStadium recommends using namespaces or tags (to identify the hosts that have M4 separate from those with M2 or M1 to route workloads to the proper hosts.)
